Cliff Stern has received a Bachelors of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Albuquerque and a Master’s of Science degree in Systems Management from the University of Southern California. In addition he was a professor in the graduate program in integrated facility management at the Georgia Institute of Technology for seven years. He taught the Operations and Maintenance courses, Advanced Facility Management Practices and the Capstone Course for the Graduate Program in Integrated Property and Facility Management. Cliff Stern is also President of Creative Facility Management, Inc. (CFM) a firm providing consulting services in all aspects of Facility Management. Cliff Stern served in the U.S. Army as an engineer officer and was twice honored as the best Director of Engineering and Housing in the entire U.S. Army. In addition, he was one of ten recipients in 1990 awarded a Federal Energy Award for energy conservation. Following the military, he held positions as Senior Facility Planner, Corporate Engineer and was selected in 1995 as the Program Director of Facilities for the 1996 Olympic Village in Atlanta, Georgia. His research interest and experience includes: facility management process improvement, developing high performance organizations, application of Lean Six Sigma to Facilities Management, maximum performance staffing, FM Training and the development and marketing of FMCT and FMCT2 by CFM, facility management systems developed to support all aspects of the industry.
